HISTORY OF KLIFE
KLIFE was started in 1979 in St. Louis, MO by a group of families who sent their kids to a summer camp in Missouri called Kanakuk. These families approached camp leadership to see what could be done to continue the experience their children had during the summer, all year round. In the fall of 1982 a second location of KLIFE was formed in Kansas City. In subsequent years, with the continuous outpouring of God’s blessing, KLIFE now has locations that reach students across the nation.
In 1998, families in Searcy saw the same needs at St. Louis and KC, so they brought KLIFE to town. As we celebrate 25 years of discipleship together. We cannot express enough gratitude for the unwavering support and dedication you have shown throughout this remarkable journey. Your commitment to our vision of guiding and nurturing young lives has allowed us to make a lasting impact on countless individuals and families. Your generosity, whether through time, resources, or prayer, has played a vital role in shaping the hearts and minds of the next generation. We have grown tremendously in the last 25 years. We have out grown 3 houses and expanded our reach to kids in neighboring communities! This year alone we have invested over 1,500 hours into students in Searcy with the mission “To point students to Jesus so they will know Him, love Him, walk in surrender to Him and be equipped to point others to Him also.” As we reflect on the countless lives transformed through our ministry, we are humbled by your unwavering belief in our mission. Thank you for standing beside us, believing in the power of discipleship, and helping us create a legacy that will continue to bear fruit for years to come.
